Trans am ws6, camaro z28 question
Okay, well I am finally in the market for a new car. However now with my price range I have about 3-4 different cars that i am having a hard time deciding on.
First the choices:
2002 trans am WS6
2002 Camaro Z28, SS
2004 Mustang GT Mach 1
2005 Mustang GT
The main use for the car will be a spring/summer car, not driven in winter, I have a truck for that. It will be most likely a daily driver. Now, if GM continued to make trans am and camaro into 2007, it wouldn't be much of a big deal b/c I could just get an 04-05 trans am/camaro. However, one of my main concerns is the longevity of the car. I obviously want a low mileage car, under 40-50k, and I would like for the car to last me at least 6-7 years, until I can save enough money for a corvette Unfortunately if i went with the trans am/camaro then by the time I'd want to look for a new car, this thing would be 12-13 years old with a million miles on it(I put a LOT of miles on my cars) Now in the price range I am in I know i can get a 99-01 coupe, but I really would like an 03-04z or a c6 coupe, and right now those are out of my price range.
So what in your opinion is the best car of the four? What are some strengths and weaknesses of the four? I've done a lot of google searches and would now like to hear the opinion of you guys, instead of an editor from some magazine/website.

I would pick the trans am ws6. Why because i have one and love it. I had a camaro and really didnt like it to much. It had problems. The value of a trans am is more because they will not make it any more like the camaro comming out sometime next year so the value of the 4th gen camaros are lower than a trans am.
Mustangs. Never. Unless you like looseing races but they sound good other than a 03-04 cobra is the only one worth getting.
Here are too sites that can also help ya.

2V Mustangs are quite slow (96-04)
Mach1 ones are not too bad
03/04 Cobras are fast but have weak IRS if you plan on beating on it at the track
3V Mustangs are decent cars and make ok power, but are still costly IMO.(05-current).
The WS6/SS/Z/28 are all the car same car, save appearance. None make more HP than the others (I don't care what the factory ratings were, they were pure B.S.)
The f-bodies can be had for a decent price and mad pretty fast for a fairly cheap amount. They have a weak 10 bolt rear end, that can break even at stock power levels with a sticky tire and a 6 speed. It all depends on what you are looking to accomplish with this car. So far I have had no real issues with my 01 SS (except things that I have caused ) If you find a nice one go for it, but don't worry about future value, because there is no collectible value with these cars.
