I love the side view of the coupe...not so crazy about the front and the back.

I agree, but just about every pony or sportscar is too blocky nowadays. And of course, if I was looking at the Camaro or (hopefully) a Firebird, it would be either the SS or WS6 models.

Hot Rod magazine had a rendering of the rear with '67 style tailights. Awesome! My wife had a fit over it. Will have to wait awhile anyway; gotta pay for my vette first.

With that said, ok mods, lock it down and send it off to OT land.

Its in the correct section now. If dealerships are going to be asking $50k for this car then I dont think they will sell a lot when you can get a new Vette for that price. Id say probably around $35k for a coupe SS and close to $40k for a vert. SS.

I'll make my final judgement on the car when I actually see a production car in person, but I do like the looks of the car in the pics. If they can keep it down to around $35K for the top model, I might consider one.

GM had the concept convertible on this year's Power Tour. Although still not exactly a production version, it's not an artist rendering either.

And to give you an idea of the size, this shot of a 1969 and the new concept together.

I think they should use a 5.3 liter and not the 6.0 Liter. That way, Chevy can compete if not beat the Mustang in Price. Put around 320-350 HP in it and price it around 26k and open up a huge aftermarket for it. I think only then will the Camero stay this time around. As for a 500 HP Dodge, well, who cares really? The GT 500 has 500 HP and people are still buying the GT Mustang more. Chevy has already proven that they reign one of best among power, they need to concentrate on sales. Chevy has for too long thought HP alone will win over consumers but, the Mustang always seems to out sell the Camero. That should have been a big indicator the first time around. People want a nice, cheap, fast car that they can modify without breaking the bank. I mean, isn't that what the pony car was intended for? Chevy needs to quit installing the Vette motor in every performance vehicle.

It will have to grow on me, It doesn't look anywhere near as good as the 4th Gen F-Bodies in my opinion. but I may get used to it. in my early high school years I actually didn't like the looks of the C5! I can't believe I ever disliked it at all. I don't remember why really, I just thought the Camaro looked better. My mind has changed some since then.

I didn't realize they changed the name to "Camero"...

Dude, it is a forum get over yourself. If all you want to do is correct spelling, become a teacher. I will be the first to admit, I am not the best speller, and on a forum, who really cares?

No need to get your panties in a wad. Just thought you should be able to spell Camaro since it is an iconic car name and it has been plastered all over this thread...
