10.32 @ 132.35 Cartek Stock Bottom End Heads+cam
DISCLAIMER: I know, Im not a Vette, but we do have the same engine [some of us] so it can be done in a Vette
Just got home from a rainy but very productive Atco Rental day. The weather was sh*t all day. It was on the cool side, but the mist in the air and the 90% humidity was really annoying. I almost did not go because I thought it would be rained out. WOW that would have sucked! We did not start running until almost Noon, and by 3:30 it was raining on the far end of the track and we called it a day.
After a few runs to brake in the new Mickey Thompson's I let it all hang out!
Came off the clutch at 6500 RPM, saw the 1.43 60' and power-shifted the **** out of 2, 3 and 4. I knew it was a good run, and all I wanted for the end of the 2007 season was a 10.39. I flew down the return road, and since there was no other car fallowing me I saw the a 10.35 @ 132 in the rear view mirror. I started jumping in the car and being still belted into the car the whole thing started rocking back and forth like crazy!
When I got out this is the time slip that was handed to me!
Damn rear view mirrors making 2's look like 5's! LOL
I could not have been happier!
This is still with my original set of CARTEK 4X heads and Cam that were installed 2 years ago, still on the STOCK bottom end LS1 with 67K miles on it, still on the STOCK T56 transmission with 67K miles on it.
We tried to a 10.2x but with the rain coming so soon after [about 15min] we simply ran out of time. Oh well. Something to shoot for in the spring!
Now here's the "Academy Award Acceptance Speech"
I can't that CARTEK enough, I really can't. Thank you to Dave and Julio for spec'ing out a killer setup and tuning it to run so freakin' fast and still be perfectly streetable! Thank you Mike for porting the most killer set of 243 heads the world has ever seen! Thank you Rich and Roy for all your endless hours of labor, bent over the hood of my TA. Thank you guys so so so so much!
Thank you to Barry and QTP for making one freakin' sweeeeeet set of headers! Now get on that jig and make me a set of 1-7/8"! LOL
And Thank you to Madman for taking the time to talk to me on the phone and help me out with my suspention. I know I'm small potatos when it comes to the kind of cars he sets-up but he still took the time to go over some ideas to make the car consistant. When you car is bogging on a 6500rpm Launch, and you need to come out at 7000, you know the suspention is working. Thank you Brian!
If you guys want to go fast, call CARTEK, if you need an awesome set of headers, call Barry, and if you cant get your car to hook, Madman is Da-Man!
Thanks guys for reading my long *** post, but hell, how often do new bests like this happen!
Julian got it on Video, or so he says, I will post it up as soon as he gets it online.

Nice pass Alex, when I saw that board light up I think it might've been the loudest I'd ever screamed/cheered at a drag strip! LOL
Good job man, you and Cartek really do have that combo dialed in nicely.
Actually, a properly working 50 -75 shot might even do it.

The track was not particularly sticky, in fact, there was a 1'x2' batch of bare concrete right in front of where the rear tire would go. I think the brand new tires helped A LOT, and the lower control arm relocation brackets worked out well I think as well.
