Here is my Camaro drag racing car.....
It is an 81 with a 408 BBC (396 bored .060)...Turbo 400 tranny and a 12 bolt rear with 3:90 gears...it currently has a goofy .714 lift cam in it but that comes out in two weeks...can you say coil bind?...
In the engine pic it still had the 300 shot but I removed that the first month I had the car...the guy before me hurt the motor with the juice and I bracket race the car so I don't need it...it has a manual valve body so I shift off the light...more fun than a barrel of monkeys...he he he..
Not street legal but I race it no less than two events a month at the drag strip...woot!!!!!

Thanks guys...she is old school but a lot of fun...we are still tuning but she went 7.75 in the 1/8 and 12.21 in the 1/4 so far...that may come down some with the new cam going in this week...as I said, the motor was hurt so to try and make it live for this season and maybe next we have it rev limited to 6200 and I short shift her at 5700 rpm...Hoosier told me just yesterday I am running the completely wrong slicks...I run a 30" drag radial slick...a friend donated them to me so I could see if I liked the taller tire..I like it a lot but, apparently, I should be running a biased ply slick...Hoosier told me I might pick up a full tenth and would definitely be more consistant...who knew?...lol...
