New Camaro
Went to the unvailing of the new Camaro at my local dealership this evening (this is where I bought my C6). Beautiful car. Wouldn't trade a C6 for it but it would surely be my second choice. It was an orange perle that should be offered on the C6.

I don't get the same feeling about the Camaro as I do with the Corvette. They are totally different cars. I know they were "born" in the muscle car era of the 60's but even then, they were totally different cars. Why is there so much interest in the Camaro by Corvette Forum members?

I may be in the minority here but I have seen several production models and tuner cars. I just do not care for it. The body style is supposed to be reminiscent of the '69 Camaro I guess, but misses the mark. The interior is very average and the wheel and tire size do not look in proportion to the car. They should have put 18" and 40 series tires on the car. Sorry all but the new camaro is not on my list.

The new Camaro is a beautiful car, if I had room for another car it would be the one!

I looked at this one tonight...the pics aren't mine, but are of the same car
Here a quick vid of it too out on the streets:

I know I'll be getting flamed for this, but after 4 years into the C6 model run, the Camaro will be the headturner for the next couple years. Performance-wise, thats a different story...

heres one on ebeigh for 35k. I cant believe they are putting anything but a V-8 in them. Thats always been my knock on camaro's and Mustangs. They really cheapen them up IMOP. I do like alot of the looks on them both tho. Regards, paul

was in high school when muscle cars first came out in late 60s.
one thing i noticed about all of retro builds.. they are all slab sided thick. i guess its because of the safety requirments.. saw a 69 or 70 hemi cuda go at auction the other day on tv. for 160,000 or something like that. the old cars just flat out look better.
and i know the new cars are better built, more power, handle better and have better brakes.. but i cant get my mind around the thickness of these things....

I got to look at a black one that arrived at a local dealer just today and I was really impressed. I had 3 Z28s and an IROC and loved them all. It's not a Corvette, but it will turns some heads when it rolls past.
My daily driver is an SSR, but I could be persuaded to make the Camaro my every day ride......

Had a 96 & 98 Camero 6 cyl vert. Really liked the cars and drove the heck out of them. I think these will be great cars. The only knock I have is why are they putting that dumb antenna on the roof?
