1989 GTA 5.7. T-top car. Has around 62k miles. Mostly stock except for suspension upgrades like poly bushings, UMI LCA, SFC, panhard, wonderbar. I've had it 5 years. This winter it will get new shocks/struts all the way around and a new set of tires. Plus, any loose front steering components will be replaced and an alignment in the spring. I am planning a Route 66 trip around May. If I get a C6 Vette by then, we'll take the Vette. If not the GTA will be hitting the road.

I can't help but think that there were many other stock cars that paced it long ago, from 1911 through the '60s. However, it is tough finding anything on the modifications done to each year to know.

Many in the Corvette world say the 1978 Corvette is the first to pace the Indy 500 in street form, and the 1986 is the first after the 1978.

Here are mine. The Jamican Yellow 92 is 1 of 37 TA verts in that color and the other is a 1980 Turbo Trans Am Indy Pace Car.

She put down 407 Hp on the Dyno and weighed in at 2700lbs! Drove it around some yesterday and put it back in the garage for safe keeping!

Thank you!!! An ITB would finish your bay nicely! We'll what a PITA it is to get a driveable tune here in a few weeks.....assuming everything holds together, should be a fun season.
