Default This week's ride to the Rattler and Blue Ridge Pkwy

I bought this Trans Am new off the showroom floor way back in the day. It has 52,000 miles on it now, averaging about 3,500 miles a year. It sure adds up. The Rattler is near Hot Springs, NC and the Blue Ridge pics taken near Waynesville, NC.

My 1980 Pontiac Trans Am Indy 500 pace car. I believe it to be one of the cars at the race that day due to the "500 Festival" decal on the sail panel.

Thanks! All original with 54,xxx miles. A few touch ups here and there. The decals are starting to fade, yellow and crack. Interior is in just as good a shape as the exterior. Has the original GM fan belt on it still. All lights, chimes and gauges still work, as well as the turbo lights. Trying to keep all stock as possible. Turns lots of heads. Most are used to seeing the "Smokey and the Bandit" car and not this one. Being a car that was actually on the track, on the parade lap, of the Indy 500 is pretty cool! By today's standards, the car is slow as hell. Factory rated at 210 hp. Who cares! Fun to drive and center of attention where ever it goes....
