I bought a 1989 Formula Firebird brand-new and missed it so much that I bought a 1991 Formula a couple years ago. I drive my current 'Bird to work on sunny days and have left the L98/700R4 pretty stock (put down 219rwhp with just exhaust and 90K+ miles).
The 1991-92 Z28s are my favorite years of the ThirdGen Camaro run. I especially like the dash and ground effects. Best of luck with your project!
