Default 99 Firebird Change Oil Light

My son has a 99 Firebird and we have not been able to turn off the change oil light. The car didn't come with an owners manual and I don't remember how to clear it. I had cleared it in the past for him, but I can't seem to shut it off this time. It seems to me that it involved holding the accelerator pedal down, or pressing it repeadedly.

Is anyone able to give us the exact proceedure to shut the light off?

Thanks!

Key on, engine off - press gas pedal to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds.

Thank you very much! That did the trick. Actually had to do it with the key in the accessory position, then it cleared. I guess I've gotten spoiled by the information center in all our newer GM cars, where you just push a button to reset it.

Thanks again!

You can reset it by holding the trip reset too. Gotta hold it forever it seems like, key on /engine off.
