Value of 2000 SS
I'm trading my C6 for a 2000 SS plus cash. I'll end up selling the Camaro ASAP.
It has 160k miles, M6 with short throw shifter, 5.3l engine with heads, cam, intake, headers, 4.10 gears, etc. Some spider webbing in the paint in the rear, front seats torn on bottoms but rest of interior pretty good. newer ZR1 wheels and good tires. Airbag and security lights are on. What should I expect to get out of it?

The good news, is the car looks rust free, and has the LS1 engine. The bad news is it has warning lights "on", high mileage, and rough interior. I'd say $3000, TOPS.....

I was thinking $3500 at best. That's a lot of miles, and mods, and lights, and baggage.

Agreed, though I will mention a motor swap to a 5.3 will likely hurt value as well - at least it would if I was a potential buyer.

Let me give you some background....Along with my Corvette, which is why I spend a LOT of time here, I also have a Camaro. It's a '96 Z/28, in excellent condition, with less than 80,000 miles, never been driven in the winter. A couple of times in the past, I've considered selling it. $4000 is the MOST I've been offered...

I also own a Corvette and a 4th gen. Had my 99 SS for 15 years, so have been around the Fbody scene quite a while also.
That said, a fixed seat and dash lights fixed could be very worth while. All depends on the buyer and what they are looking for. The right buyer who is looking for a good platform to continue to mod for 1/4 mile might be all over you car at the 4K mark. A lot depends on what aftermarket parts are on the car as well.

I too dabble in buying, selling fbod's.... I also own one. 99 HOSS.... I could sell your car all day long in TX for $4K to $4500.... My recent flip, 01 SS... 89K... Paid $4800 for it, cleaned it up, polished it, added new rubber, sold it for $8500....
When I purchased
When I sold it..
I buy and flip 2-3 per year..... It's how I fund my Vette mods...

After some serious soul searching, and realizing that I drove the Z/28 all of 1500 miles in the last 3 years, I decided to let it go. I wasn't looking to dink around with joyriders and/or tire kickers, so I took it to a local used car dealer I knew, who specializes in sporty cars. Yes, I know that he "lowballed" me a little bit, because he has to re-sell it and make some money, but in the end, he gave me $4500 for it, which made it a painless, hassle-free deal for me.
