Default $ for "driver"1st or early 2nd gen these days?

80% towards selling my El Camino. Havent driven it in 2 yrs....spend 4k a yr in storage ins etc. Want something I can leave in a parking lot, not like i drive a lot/often. The El turned out incredible but went overboard on it. Too nice

Whats a ballpark for a driver condition 1st gen
Mechanically/suspension sound, straight "ok" interior going for these days? Not real nice, not a project;something I can leave ungaraged

Dont care about model, #s match bs options etc.

See decent stuff for 15k+ and spraypainted garbage for 20k prices are all over the place.

you have kind of asked "how long is a piece of string?", as you state it doesn't matter about model, etc... Obviously depending on the model, the price can vary wildly. To broadly address your question, drivers are usually in the 15k and up range, you might get lucky and find something lower, but most who have one like that will do some work and increase their value.
2nd gen are a decent buy in and can be found under 15k for nice drivers. I am working on a T/A that will be a nice driver - a somewhat survivor that will be alright as something I can drive and not be upset leaving in a parking lot.
I have found some alright drivers 1st & 2nd gen for good prices but usually they are lower models, Esprit, or base Firebirds with lower engines (350, or non OHC 6 cyl).
Hope this helps

This picture was taken the last day I owned these cars. Sold both to the same guy about 5 months ago, and had them for about 20 years.

Sounds about right, the time to get real money for this was about 2 yrs ago. Wouldnt sell mine for 20...25 maybe.
No responses anyways at this point so it may just stay with me.
Every time I go to sell my Silverado this thing breaks
Was going to clean it up and show it to someone yesterday, fire it up and a super loud groan appears from underneath probably the trans pump cant sell anything with problems.
