1993 pace car sale opinions
OK... My sister purchased this car new in 1993,,, has about 120,000 miles on it... i rebuilt the engine and transmission at 100,000 had the heads ported and shorties put on with a tune. runs great works great... the black paint has started to oxidize badly and needs new black. interior is good as far as the seats go, but it has a cracked dash and sagging headliner.. sister is 70yo and can not keep up with taking care of the car.. thus us needs to be sold.
Any input on sale price and well.. any helpful input would be nice.

Being a California car, it has avoided the road salt that we northeasterners are used to, therefore the undercarriage is most likely sound. That would add value. But at least in my opinion, the shaky paint and high mileage, would decrease the value.
FWIW, I had a 1996 Z-28 that I bought new, in September of 1995, and sold in April of 2015. Stored winters, very nice condition, excellent runner, with 75,000 miles. Yes, I probably could have gotten a little more for it that I did, as I sold it to a used car dealer that I knew, and of course, he wanted to turn a profit. I, on the other hand, didn't want the hassle of advertising and entertaining "tire kickers".
So, I sold it for $4500.

Bro... I bought one of those Pace Cars from a fella in AZ years ago... Gave him $4K and $600 to trailer it to TX... Had to have it repainted ( as it oxidized as well) and had to find new graphics.. Nearly impossible. Mileage was the same... The LT1's are known bleeders... I ended up cleaning mine up nicely and sold it to a guy for $7500... But I dumped a couple K into it... That is going to be a tough one.

I'd like to know too. I've owned two 4th Gens, and have loved both of them. They aren't perfect (window motors, headlight motors in the Firebirds, plastic gets fragile over the years, not the easiest job in the world to change spark plugs), but no car is. While their near 300 hp is nothing special now, back then they were real performance bargains. I don't ever intend to sell my Firehawk.

I too owned a very nice 01 Firehawk that I sold to a fella in Canada... It was a heads, cam, stall car..... Loved it.. Miss it... I always have a 4th gen LS1 based car in the stable. Matter of fact I am picking up a 1 owner 99 Camaro SS in a couple of weeks. NBM/TAN and bone stock w 88K miles....

The reason I do not like the car is simply personal...
My sister purchased this car new, as I stated earlier....
When she did it, it was agenst my dads and I advise...
She paid well over sticker....she was/is a single mother... she knows nothing about cars other than she likes the look and speed of this car...
I hate the gay ribbons all over it... I hate that I have had to take care of it for her.. it cost her money she cannot afford .... it has been a anchor around her neck, thus my neck

The 93 pace car is a collectible car, they are always all over Ebay listed in the 20's for low mile show ready cars... see below from cars.com
https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...4677/overview/
For the miles and work it needs I would list your sisters for $6K and see if you get bites.

Possibly, but I hate selling cars....too many "tire kickers", or clowns that just want to joyride your car. The dealer that I sold it to, did some repainting of the bumpers, as well as a little touch up of the lower bodywork....stone chips. He did get around $7K for it....

With the miles and paint issues, your collector would most likely not be interested. So with that, I would say you are not much above the price of any other 93 Z with similar miles and condition
