Does GM warrant engine repairs, and if so, any body know the details?
So my 2013 Camaro was a few months out of warranty (still under 100,000 miles though) when the lifters went bad, ultimately causing cam damage and requiring a repair to the tune of $4700. GM didn't do ****, but the dealer (Henna in Austin, love the service department) I took it to only charged me what the warranty cost would have been, rather than full retail.
Now, six months and 6,000 ish miles later (96k, still under the milage for warranty, not that I'm bitter) the problem had just recurred. No way I can eat another $4700 bill. I found this page on the GM site, but it doesn't mention anything about engine warranty repairs. Anybody know if I can expect some help on this or if I'm SOL?
Thanks,
Z

Realizing this is an older thread. GM dealer preformed repairs using GM parts has a minimum of a 12mo/12k warranty other some maintenance.parts ( filters and wiper blades). Ideally you need to return to repairing dealer. If you are traveling or move local GM dealer or contact GM division customer assistance for nearest dealer.
