I've increased the font size in this section because of a member that can only see the larger size fonts. I hope thatit doesn't cause too much trouble for anyone else.

Hopefully at some point in the future it can be a user selectible option.

Though I am not yet in need of the huge font, I'm glad to see it for Jerrys sake (along with the rest of the "More Experienced" restorers). BTW, If it bugs you, and you have a wheelmouse, Just hold down the Ctrl key and move the mouse wheel to quickly change font size.

Glad to see that the party hasn't ended, it just moved to a more flexible neighborhood.

If you have a "wheel" mouse, you can hold the CTRL key down and turn the wheel and it will adjust the text size for this forum in your browser. If you have MS IE 5.0 or newer, it should remember the setting for the page and not change the size of other pages.

I thought of that as a solution but there is one problem. The new forum software that we are testing out on Thursday (and hopefully keeping) doesn't seem to change the text size when you do that. I figured I might as well just modify it for the whole section for now.

So Jerry, is it readable? I hope so! Thanks Troy. User selectable fonts in our profile would be a WAAAY cool feature.

It looks like we can do this. I asked a question about it at the support boards for the new software and they made a great suggestion on how to handle it.

The new software allows us to setup different templates that can be chosen in your profile. We will simply make one that has large fonts. Anyone interested can choose it. It will apply to all of our sections.

The big font is nice. I don't have to bob my head up and down like a gooney bird trying to find the optimum combination of astigmatism and reading correction on my progressive lenses.

Juilet,

The big font helps Jer, but it is still unusable since he also needs contrasting colors for the fonts. Basically a black background and good contrasting color such as white or dark yellow (like the other place). Not sure if that is do-able here.

Thanks Don. I talked with Jerry too. The other issue is the navigation buttons etc. They're still teeny font and unreadable to him so while he might be able to read some threads now, he still can't participate. ~Juliet

I can test out some schemes for him when we get switched over to the new software (assuming it actually works for us ).

I can set up a scheme to match whatever works best for him. It can include larger icons for post/reply as well as contrasting colors.

It will be something that will only affect those that choose to use it.
