Try the NCRS website. They have a section with archived dealer names and numbers. It's limited to just what members have submitted, so don't be surprised if the one you need is not listed there.

Thanks patrick I have posted on the c3 forum a couple of times with no luck so this is the best news i've heard so far..
the car still has virginia inspection stickers on it from 86 and 87 so i'm close.. Do you think the dealer will be a pain in giving me info???

my first attempt to call only answered one question, They have only been in business 16 years and the person i talked to had no info on a prior dealer or even if there was one. so am i to believe the dealer # is just that and stays with the dealer and not the location :cry :cry

patrick, window sticker.com was a great help in finding info
the 1970 dealer was park circle motor co in baltimore on reisertown road
and then moved in 1986 to 7900 eastern blvd and then became legum chevrolet then on to the existing dealer of bob bell chevrolet but the dealer #s have changed obviously so at least i will be able to create the original window sticker even if i don't find the original owner!!! :cheers:

I found the name of the dealer that originally sold my 67 Coupe thanks to the code on my tank sticker. Holz Motors in Wisconsin. I wrote them and here's the reply -- "Good luck with your 1967 Vette. Our records don't go back that far."
