'69 Rad Support to Hood seal. What should it look like?
I just got a seal kit from Zip. Since we figured out that my car has a big block radiator, support, & shroud, I ordered the big block seal kit.
The hood air dam that came in the kit is a 1" x 1" x19" long and is just a big rectangle? Every pic I've seen of them has them full-width and nicely contoured.
Is this right?
Thanks,
Dave

dd, check Dr. Rebuild's catalog; it's online if you don't have a hard copy.
On page 29, Items "L" is for the early 69 427, and "M" is for the late 69 427. No dimensions are given, but both look fairly short. I wouldn't be surprised if the length of the early design didn't exactly fit the width of the "power dome" on the hood.

Ditto Dr Rebuild, his seals are the only ones to buy, better adhesive by far. The BB core support seal should have a contour that will accomidate the hoods underside structure
