Default 68 steering wheel colour and appearance

Hi

I might have found a nice 68 steering wheel, but the colour throws me off.
It is just plain light brown. The 68 wheel should be plastic wood grain.
Shouldn't it show wood grain texture ? How much and could this be faded away ?
A close up picture of a good wheel would help me decide.
I hope it's not a 67 wheel. How can I find out ? Any real easy to make out difference ?

Here's astronaut Alan Shepherd's '68. Interior is not stock, but the wheel is. Color of the wheel is correct, but, as you can see, there isn't much of a grain effect on this "woodgrain" plastic wheel.

Hi

This does look very much like the one I got offered.
It's in perfect shape, no cracks , no damage , nothing.
