Great pictures, 67! The constable looks vaguely familiar but I can't say why.......

At the amazing age of 38 *amazing because 1) I've managed to survive this long and 2) why it seems to have gone so fast I'm probably older than either of the fellows in your picture but this ex-bodybuilding black belt (shotakan karate) might have the edge in big & strong.

Patrick, I'm jealous both of your roadster AND your ability to do your best work on your back. Whether or not your sidepipes are original never entered the equation. Mrs. Mac has declared she prefers coupes over verts so if there's a midyear in my future, there'll be a roof over my head.

67, your wife is right- you're nuts   but you're in good company.

Geesh some of these coppers are wise guys!

A driver was stopped for speeding at a RCMP laser operation on Central Island Highway. He had just purchased a new laser detector and was unhappy that it had not warned him. He asked my partner to point the laser at his detector. My partner did, and the man proceeded to plug and unplug, aim and shake the detector. Apparently it still didn't work and he left muttering curses.

After he had gone, my partner turned to me, shrugged his shoulders and observed "He didn't ask me to push the button!"

Damn, if they ever let me outta the home here, I really gonna miss you guys.
WhaWhaWhat? Are they transferring you to an institution of higher security without access to the net (no pun intended)? You know what they say..."You can check out, but you can never leave". :D :D

67, you Canajuns have such a quaint, demure way of speaking...calling an insane asylum a "home". Understatement must be a practice yawl inherited from the Brits.

Hey, 67- I know a couple of the guys on the Central Island Highway Patrol from when I worked Traffic Section in Colwood (outside Victoria). Traffic Section concentrated on local roadways whereas Highway Patrol, well, you get the idea. The Officer In Charge of Colwood Detachment was unhappy because we were writing too many tickets so everyone one of the constables willingly transferred out to other Detachments. Nothing like feeling appreciated, eh?

Actually, not a pun...it was more of a "double entendre". :hat

Nope- but two of Traffic Section constables were! (my 73 and another guy had a maroon 75).

Unless I miss my count, this'll push the thread into the third page. Almost unprecidented on FCR!

That's better! Thanks, 67!!

EDIT for Juliet: Factory Correct doesn't necessarily mean Numbers Matching but Corvettes rule and Supras slobber, I mean Drool!

You guys are bad. IN Offtopic you'd get your sparkly 100% halos dinged down for that. :jester :blueangel:

With all due respect to Juliet (wherefore art thou, Juliet) :blueangel: I've read enough of the Offtopic threads to feel pretty secure in my halo. One day, I read a thread which went into four pages without a mention of anything automotive. In fact, as I read it, I couldn't decipher half the jargon and I never did figure out what the point of the whole thread was.

Uhhh, what was my point again? Oh yeah! I call it ODE TO MY 73 VETTE!

Make mine yellow and L82
I want nothing more than 4 gears
A vert would be nice; a coupe will do
Power steering's for wimps and qu**rs!

NOTE- I fully support the right of choice but couldn't find anything else that rhymed!

I is here Mac. Been working on the Mason Dixon NCRS webpage actually.

Hey can you guys try printing out this form and tell me if it works OK on your printers? I had to muck with it some to get it to work on one of the 3 printers at work. http://www.ncrs.org/masondixon/meet2002.htm

OK thanks. Back to the discussion at hand. I wasn't referring to the lack of vette stuff, but the posting for the sheer point of posting more and making a page count go to the next page. But you already knew that - you were just taunting me. ;)

How about SHEAR or SHEER or TEAR or FEAR or NEAR? Funny what kind of word association ya came up with there ol' Mac. Must be a manifestation of your living conditions eh?

I've been married too long, 67. It doesn't take a big block- just an argument about money for a 4 post lift. sigh... :cry :nonod: :cry

I love custom plates- I would be laughing out loud. I think I'd mentioned my experience with the moron with the "BAD COP- NO DONUT" bumper sticker who got a speeding ticket and, when he asked for a warning, I said "BAD DRIVER- NO WARNING!" To cap it off, the guy fought the ticket and came to court to tell how I'd given him a ticket because of his bumper sticker. The judge literally laughed in his face!
