Default Survivor or correctly restored '78-'82 undercarriage pics needed

What I'm most interested in learning is whether the area under the seats should be a raw figerglass or something else, hence the request for correct pics.

TIA for all helpful replies!

Generally, the underside of the body is unpainted fiberglass. The wheel wells were shot with black out paint. As a result, there may be some blackout on the sides of the jack and battery compartments, but not anywhere else.

The lower firewall, foot wells, spare tire tub, etc. where normally bare glass.

The Assembly Manual will show you the areas that received blackout, and the NCRS Judging Manuals describe the finish on most of the chassis and under car components.

It probably has factory undercoating/sound deadener applied. The AIM shows it.

I agree with GB: purchase the assembly instruction manual and the NCRS Judging Guide. http://www.ncrs.org/

Late 1975 through 1982 used a steel floor pan. Replacement steel pans are available through the major vendors. Steel vs fiberglass was driven by the introduction of catalytic converters.

I've got a few undercarriage photos in my for sale thread.
I have several more but I'd need to move them to photobucket.

had this one handy.
