Real Teak or Faux Wood???
How do you tell the difference? I have 2 wheels that I bought years ago. I thought they were real Teak Wood... I just got around to putting one on my car and at the last show a guy said it was faux wood. How can I determine for sure?
any help is appreciated...

The 64-67 "Walnut" wheels are a dark brown grained plastic. Teak wheels are much lighter in color, and are made up of multiple pieces of wood, all bonded together. There is a noticeable, darker thin (1/16" thick??) seam where the individual pieces meet, and another darker seam that runs the circumference of the wheel, separating the front and back halves on the wheel.
