Options for R134 Fittings

Hi JIm,
This is an old thread but here are 2 options for you to make those garish blue and red 134A Schrader valve caps look more in keeping with your vintage Corvette:
1. Get black plastic caps from a modern vehicle that uses 134A. I found the caps used on my wife's 2005 Mercedes Benz C230 were perfect as these are sturdy black molded plastic and look pretty good. These do have molded 'ribs' on them, but to most people they are unobtrusive and only the purist would know the difference.
2. Spray paint your red and blue 134A caps with black paint.
I couldn't find brass 134A caps. But these might be found at an industrial HVAC supplier.
Hope this helps.
