Default 66 Holley Intake 300 HP.

I have 2 manifolds # 3872783. They appear same, except one has a large "H" cast in front of carb area. Any tips on "correct" ? Thanks

The engine firing order is cast into the manifold runner just ahead of the carb mounting base. No "H" on mine.

Thank you for the reply, but that does not answer the question.

The NCRS Judging Manual notes the firing order cast in front of the carb base. There is no mention of an "H" cast in that area in the Judging Manual version that I have. Are you looking for something else?

The part number you provided is for 66 to 68 283 and 327 made for all vehicles including trucks, all are 4 B.C. Holley

I believe the one marked H would be an early casting. Prior to the carbs used were Carter or Rodchester. The H helped the assembly line know the transition to the new carb. Years later no longer needed the prompt so the H was dropped.

hope this answers, at least in part....
