Checking on VIN for 1969

Checking on VIN for 1969
Doing a bit of research I'm seeing that 1969 Corvettes have VINs between 194379S700001 - 194379S738762. I found a 1969 with the VIN 194679S716870. What does this mean? A replacement engine? Any thoughts are appreciated.
