Yeah.. the original is stuck to your car 
seriously the repros that I have had in my hot lil hands have been a little bit larger in size than that of the original and the content on them was a lil bit differant as well.. nothing huge and if your just looking to make it look correct a repop will do the trick.. just keep them boys with the magnifying glasses away from that area

There are some bad repros out there with incorrectly spelled words. I got one from a dealer that had the words year and carburetor misspelled. They were good enough to refund my money, but didn't have any correct decals.

If you know of a definate way to tell a fake from a repro.....i'm all for sending you a scan of mine for verification if thats no trouble

I have looked at my pile o ref pics and the only 69 I have pictured is missing the decal completely.. if anybody around here has a older.. older version of the corvette black book.. I think there was some in the back of it.. if memory serves. wish I could be more help
