If you're a Corvette owner, you love cars and there's nothing in the world like the Woodward Dream Cruise! The Woodward Dream Cruise in Metro Detroit is a grass roots phenomenon that has grown into the world's LARGEST one-day automotive event. This celebration of car culture attracts more than 1.5 million people and over 40,000 muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector and special interest vehicles. Cars cruise a legendary 16-mile strip called Woodward Avenue in one glorious, celebratory homage to America's love affair with the automobile. Spectators line the streets and many family-oriented amusements and attractions provide entertainment and excitement. www.woodwarddreamcruise.com.
We're kicking off the weekend with the Corvettes at Woodward event Friday night August 19th at Somerset Inn lead by Tom Peters C6 Design Chief! Expect to see members of the Corvette design team and the GM High Performance Special Vehicle team as they show off the latest hot stuff from SEMA, pace cars and other all time greats in Corvette history.
The event includes a BBQ, design displays, parking lot games, autographs, music, dash plaques and much more! Participants will have a chance to win one of a kind C6 and C6-R items in a silent auction to benefit the National Corvette Museum and the American Cancer Society. The newly restored ’59 Mitchell Stingray will be on display!
