Is anyone going to be a Long Hauler all the way to Bristol? Does anyone need a roommate in a hotel in Bristol & in Somerset KY?
I'd like to split hotel costs if I could. If anyone has an open spot, please PM me.
Thanks,
Craig

I am planning on doing the long haul, sadly I was going to drive my 80 Z-28 but I am working on so many changes (new clutch, paint engine, new rear, new suspension, steering, etc) Im not going to be able to finish in time so Im going to drive the Vette. I was really looking forward to having the Camaro on the first year of the new Camaro, but thats how things go. Im thinking about leaving early Sat morning is there a caravan going up?
PS thats why Ive not made one Forum event this year.

My boy and I will be doing the South Bend, Detroit, Dayton, Somerset and Bristol legs in the '72. It's sad the GM Tech Center stop was taken out.
There will be an '96 C4 and '07 Z06 traveling with us. We plan to visit the Bowling Green Corvette plant and museum on the way home. I encourage everyone to jump in even if it's for only one leg of the Tour. It's that much fun.

Leaving for Madison a week from Friday (June 5th).
Any of you guys showing up at any of the stops, look for my Red '96
Missouri plates: C4-LT4
Another week on the road with Power Tour.
I think I mentioned this before, but the best part of Power Tour, is the daily drive between venues. Lots of "small town" USA.
Here is a link to maps of the daily driving routes, in case your interested in the roads traveled.
Thanks to emike on the Hot Rod forum.

I'm in (again).
I did the Long Haul for the last two years and plan on it again this year. It is an absolutely awesome experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who can do it. My wife will be joining me this year for her first time.
Although not in a Corvette, I assure you I'll be easy to spot. I will be driving my 73 390 powered AMC Hornet/AMX, Mello-Yellow, slammed with 17" polished Americans.
If you see me, stop by and say HI and introduce yourself. I may even have a cold one in the cooler for you!

My first HRPT was last year. We did the "long hauler" trip all the way from Little Rock to Madison. This year we'll do the "long haul" to Bristol. I had a great time last year and expect the same again this year. I plan to do the early registration on Friday late afternoon. Then on Saturday I'll just hang out and check out the venue and cars and not deal with the registration line.

I'll be loitering at the Dayton stop. If there's no rain; Yvonne and I both intend on driving our Corvettes to the parking facility on the 10th. I'll try to remember to put our CF dash plaques on the dash; hopefully this might help some find us too.
If the weather is craapy, will probably take the Avalanche (as there's a few from the Avalanche forum gonna be there as well).

I hope to come to the Dayton stop just for the day.
If all goes well, I'll be in my vette, my dad is his '32 Ford roadster.
Still trying to make it all happen with work.

They usually allow cars to start coming in around noon. Most of the early ones will be local or one day participant cars.
Most of the long hauler cars will begin arriving around 1:00 - 2:00 PM, and continue flowing in for the next few hours.
Everything will begin rapping up around 6:00 PM, as most of the long hauler cars head to their hotel for the "parking lot" activities.
