Hello everyone,

We are scheduling a trip down to Mid Ohio Sports Car Course to enjoy a weekend of Corvette Racing action.
The Corvette C6-R will be racing in the American Le Mans Series on Saturday Aug 7th.
Preliminaries and qualifying will be held on Friday August 6th.
In addition to the ALMS race, The IRL will be hosting the Indy 200, and SCCA World Challenge Race.

Final schedule has not been released yet, but hotels in the area are booking fast, so getting our accommodations secured first is a priority.

The IMSA Car Corral Weekend Ticket is for Corvette members only. Package includes a weekend General Admission ticket, a reserved weekend grandstand seat, paddock pass, pit access pass, infield parking pass with reserved parking and admission to the hospitality tent for the Acura Sports Car Challenge on Saturday, August 7th, 2010. Quantities are limited.

This ticket is only available in advance and is not available at the Gate.
Please indicate in the Order Comment section which group you are associated with so passes may be marked appropriately. (MOTOR CITY VETTES)

The deadline for purchasing this pass is Wednesday, August 4th, 2010 at 5:00pm EST

Recommended Lodging:

Most of us who booked early are staying at the Comfort Inn in Marion OH. It is now sold out. Recommend that you google local hotels in marion, mansfield area for any potential room availability.


Caravan Schedule:

For those that are interested, I’m organizing a caravan to the hotel. Below are the meeting location and departure time. Grab some breakfast at the Cracker Barrel, and then hit the road
If you plan on meeting up, please post up in this thread. I will maintain a caravan list in this post.

Comfort inn is SOLD OUT!!! But there are other hotels within 1/4 to 1/2 mile. I don't know what the pricing is like, but i'll post up the information in my 1st post.

Definitely book your room if you are planning to go!!!

Hello. I've found the $80/day ticket price on the site includes parking in the 'corvette corral'.

If there is a specific ticket/price to select that y'all prefer, please advise. My current plans are to depart from NW Ohio to take advantage of festivities Aug 6-7. I'll look through the thread here to learn more about logistics.

LOL... if this course is near Marion, OH, I can drive from my home... 30 miles away!!!

I see it is a ways East of Marion... 1 hr 14 min from me. I'd suggest Mansfield, OH over Marion if accommodations are available.

hotels are definitely limited. Actually the Comfort Inn Marion is the closest, 30 miles from the track, which is not bad based on the limited selection. Plus its not a shady roach motel.
