No Double G's Vette Party This Year!(Long Grove)
Hey guys, Double Gs closed their doors last week, lack of business and upcomong road construction which would limit access to the place has forced them to shut down. The owner indicated that they may reopen later in the year hopefully as a full sports bar theme,,loads of TV's etc..
He also owns Gatsbys in Arlington Hts., a sports bar will 97 TVs that he may try to duplicate at the old Double G's.
Kathie, the woman who helped put on the event at Double Gs is now at a smaller place in Mundelein on RTE 45 just east of 83 is possibly suggesting a event there later this summer, a lousy parking lot but they have a attached piece of land (grassy area) that could possibly hold about 40-50 cars, post up if you have any interest and I will pursue it.

That's too bad about Double G/Gridley's. I really liked that place and their show. Keep us posted on any other events.

Too bad, it was a nice place with good food. I use to go to Gatsby's years ago. It use to be a test sight for Williams/Bally pinball. The last test piece they had there was Cactus Canyon pinball. Pretty rare and expensive game now.
Hate hearing this type of news and seeing all the businesses go under in this terrible economy the last few years!

Sorry just had to vent.
Sad to see they are closing, very good place to eat and they put on a great show last year.
I think I know they place you are talking about on 45 and 83..not really a good spot if its what I am thinking of
