I don't know if anyone has been following the trip to USA thread but a couple of guys from Austria and here and are visiting places like Chicago, Corvette Central. Detroit, Bowling Green, Mid America and Indianapolis.

They will be here in Detroit area Thursday night and Friday. I have them busy Thursday and Friday during the day but I was thinking on taking them to Hooters at Big Beaver and Rochester Road on Friday night. Anyone want to join us and show off your car and meet some Corvette guys from Austria? Probably around 7:00 PM.

Guess it depends on what time they wrap up with their daytime activities. Personally I won't be there till at least 7:15

I have not only been following it but Jochen and his friends will be at my house in Greenwood In. just south of Indianapolis the first of next week. Jochen has bought items off e-bay and had then shipped to my place. Plus I will be taking them to the Indy 500 track to the Museum and get them a ride around the track. I will be taking them to a couple of private car collections here in the Greenwood area. I think they are planning on attending the NHRA National Drags while in Indy. Jochen and I have sent many e-mails back and forth so soon we will meet. While they are at Corvette Fun Fest in Effingham IL. they will be staying at the Motel next to where I will be staying. I will make sure they have a good time while they are with me.

In this economy work rules. This year was kind of a test. It worked for the most part so next year will be even better. As far as time I think we will be there a while. The last time I was there we were there for about 4 hours. There is a lot just north of Hooters. the other side of the trees. I am going to put the Corvettes on Woodward signs there and hopefully this is where all the Vettes will park. Look for a Sebring Silve Convetible. There will be a set of flags on it. See you Friday.
