This is a great show and they have it at the same time every year. There are alot of vendors at the show also.
It is a peoples choice car show. 53-62, 63-67, 68-82, 84-96, 97-04, 05-12.. Modified, Custom, Stock.
Modified: 4 or more modifications
Custom: Major glass and paint work
3 Trophies per Class
Bill Jacobs Jr. Memorial Award
$100. Spectator Cash Drawing
Event Doors open at 6:00AM Sunday
Show cars and vendors are encouraged to set up Sat. evening (5:00 /8:00 PM) or Sunday AM (6:00 / 8:00 AM)
show will be open untill 3:30 PM. Swappers and show cars participants will not be permitted to leave until such time.
General Admission $5.00

Safety Car
From the 1970's until recently this show was in March. Sometimes there was snow before the show or as you were leaving.
It was a major swap meet too before ebay was invented, weather didn't matter much for that. Now it's been moved later, to April.

It is rain or shine or snow! I time it did snow for this. The swap meet is well worth the trip as many vendors will be there. They are booked for all the show cars.
Bill Jacobs Chevrolet in Joliet, Illinois is excited to announce that they will be hosting the 36th Annual Corvettes Unlimited Corvette Show and Corral GM Parts Swap Meet on April 15, 2012. The event runs from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will feature some of the rarest and spectacular Chevrolet Corvettes ever built. The Joliet, IL Chevy dealership is very excited to host Chicagoland’s largest Corvette club show and GM parts swap and they expect a large attendance.
Registration for the event costs $25 before April 7th or $35 after April 7th,.There is a limited number of slots open per class so early registration is encouraged. There will be eight people’s choice classes with three trophies per class. The Bill Jacobs Jr. Memorial Award will also be given but Corvettes Unlimited members will not ...be eligible. Each entrant will receive a dash plaque for their vehicle and two entry passes. There will even be custom club designed awards and a $100 cash drawing for spectators. For those who will just be attending the event, admission is only $5 and children under 12 are free. There will be great cars, great people and delicious food from Jody’s Hot Dogs.
Along with the car show, major vendors will also be on site. These will include restoration and performance parts, tools GM accessories and apparel for customers to check out. Entertainment by oldies DJ Rudy The "K" and Nick Miller, Elvis impersonator from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Rush Neurobehavioral Center.
