It's the first Saturday of every month 8am -12. Much better in my opinion than the larger Dayton C&C. Smaller group of more focussed car nuts - usually lots of Corvettes and Chevy Power, with some exotics. Maybe 50 cars or so.

Columbus and Dayton Area Cruise and Drag racing

Only real drivers need apply.

Drag racing + 60 miles of twisties. $25 per car.

On Sunday June 4th, we are taking a tour through the best road in Ohio, known as the “Triple Nickel”. It’s a 60-mile stretch of non-stop curves – Ohio’s tail of the dragon if you will. However, our first stop will be 40 miles NE of Columbus to do some head-to-head drag racing. We have arranged a very inexpensive private rental with Pacemakers Dragway, they normally run 1/8 races, but street cars can run the full quarter mile if they want. This will be a no-prep street race -- no clock, no time slips. Last time we had about 10 cars on the tour, this time I'll bring about 20-25. But we had a blast! The cruise is E85 friendly as well.

Opportunities to drive like this are rare. Don’t miss this event!

We’ll meet around noon on Sunday in Columbus and you’ll be home when it gets dark. Rainout date is June 18.

You can find the event in FB, join "Dayton Area Car Talk" first, and look for the posted event.

Is this the same one that originally started at Monroe Park? I went to the first Cars & Coffee at Monroe park a couple months ago in my blue Nova but I hear they've changed locations since then.

Not familiar with the Monroe park cars & coffee, but the one at Horsepower Farm is the first Saturday of every month. Been that way for many months.

Drag racing is cancelled due to rain. But I am taking cars to the Triple Nickel Sunday at 11:00. The twisty roads will be dry on Sunday. We are meeting in Springfield OH at the BP gas station off Exit 59.

The heat and threat of storms must have scared people away from the July version of the jack maxton show. Had several forum members there and overall, it was a very pleasant evening to look at cars, chat and people watch. Hopefully, the august version will be a little cooler.

Wish I could have made it. I was out of town again. That looks really thin though.

Default 7th Annual 2017 SE Ohio Fall Corvette Cruise

Time is coming up quickly again for the 7th Annual 2017 SE Ohio Fall Corvette Cruise
Saturday September 30th 2017, 9:30 AM

This is always a great time. We will be coordinating this again with the help from Competition Corvette.
Information is below along with a link to the web site.
Hope to see you there.
http://valueaccessories.net/SEOhioFa...etteCruise.htm

When: Saturday September 30th 2017, 9:30 AM,

Where: Starting at 9:30 AM from the parking lot of the Best Western. 4929 East Pike,
Zanesville, OH (740) 453-6300, I-70 exit 160.

Friday Night: We will have a meet and greet at about 6:30 PM Friday night at the Motel. Pizza, Wings and Snacks for everyone just off the lobby and outdoors. If you can bring items for the Meet and Greet it would be greatly appreciated, let us know.

Be gassed up and ready to go by 9:00 AM, short meeting at 9:10 and leaving promptly at 9:30 AM.
Everyone is invited; you just have to have a Corvette. You do not have to be a member of any club or organization to participate. This is geared towards the Corvette Driving Enthusiast.

Description: Drive from Zanesville going East, through scenic winding back roads at times following a few rivers and lakes. Route will go around Seneca Lake & Dam, Wayne National Forest and along the Ohio River. You will enjoy some of the curves in this section.
The cruise will go into New Martinsville, WV for lunch at the Court Restaurant.
The Court Restaurant has a home made lunch buffet (with home made deserts) for appx. $11.95. We will have a private area set aside for our group. We will be at the restaurant at approximately 12:30 PM.

After lunch we will go south on Ohio 7 and have a stop along the Ohio River for pictures. We will re-group when leaving the stop letting anyone wanting to go a little slower in the next group of curves to be in the rear portion.
Then we will be proceeding west into the National Forest on route 260 and then South on 26. We will be breaking the group up a bit on Route 26 going South. This will allow you to enjoy the curves in this section at your own pace There will be lots of great curves and scenery to enjoy in this section ending up just north of Marietta then over to Route 60. There will be a gas stop in Marietta, (optional ending at this point).
We will then take route 60 up along the Muskingum River to Route 83 and up into the hills. Planned stop in this portion will be an overlook on top of one of hills, good photo opportunity. If you are more into a leisurely drive for the last 40 Miles up to I-70 you can continue straight on Route 60 instead of going up Route 83, just let us know at the gas stop if you will be going straight.

There is very little traffic on these roads on Saturday, making this a very enjoyable drive.
This will be a 216 mile (total) drive ending at the Host Motel. The Optional Ending is 153 Miles ending just north of Marietta Ohio, mid afternoon (approximately 3:15 PM). If going to I-77 from the BP stop, then continue south on 60 then turn left on 821 to I-77. You can also just continue South into Marietta.
There will be plenty of time for socializing.
This is a good opportunity to take a nice cruise in your corvette on some of the best roads you can find anywhere.
Best of all, this cruise is free and does not cost anything except food and gas. Donations accepted for Friday night Pizza and Snacks.

In addition to the Main Escorted Cruise on Saturday: If you would like to stay a day or two extra and do some cruising we have some extra suggested routes. Click here to see all of the additional suggested routes. There are lots of great roads and routes to take.

Contact: Teresa or Rick from Value-Accessories with any questions..
E-Mail: valueacc@valueaccessories.net 440-259-3071

Motel: We have reserved rooms at the host motel (Best Western, 4929 East Pike, Zanesville, OH, 740-453-6300).
To make reservations for Friday or Saturday or both nights at the Best Western, you just need to give them a call and give them the reservation number B508Wiles#10. You will need to give them a credit card number to hold a room for you. You will have lots of company at the motel.

The rooms are discounted at $67.99 plus tax a night, (one King size bed, double queens, up to 4 persons per room). If you need a smoking room you will need to tell them when making reservations. Please book early if you are planning on going, the motel fills up on weekends and will be full for this event. Mention Group rate, Corvette Club, for the group discount. The motel does have an indoor pool, internet and a good breakfast included.
You must make the reservations by 9/14/17 to get rooms in the reserve block. This will fill up.
