Default Car show at the Columbus Zoo, Sunday Oct 7th

I was able to confirm this morning that this year's car show at the Columbus Zoo will be on Sunday Oct 7, 2018. With the contract in the mail, David Kindig is again scheduled to attend this great event. Note: due to the construction at the Zoo, the event will be held in the parking lot this year.

Default Corvette Shows April 21 & 22, 2018-Marysville and Massillon, Ohio

Sat., April 21 is an NCRS Chapter Meet at the indoor showroom @ Nelson Auto Group, Marysville, Ohio judging C1 through C5s. This place also has Vipers, Ferrari's, Maserati's etc.for sale/lease, so it's neat to see these cars too in addition to the Corvettes. Went last year, viewed the cars for about an hour. Will probably go this year too, then may head over to Ohio Caverns from there.

Sun., April 22 is an NCCC Meet about 2mi from my house in Massillon, Ohio @ Progressive Chevrolet at the intersection of State Route 241 & Hills & Dales Rd. If the weather's decent, they'll get up to 50 some Corvettes. When the indoor service area fills up, the overflow is outside. I've gone most years & it's something to do early in the year.

Maybe it'll stop snowing by then?

Default Mid Ohio Open Track Day June 13

3 ***** Racing is hosting an open track day at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Wednesday, June 13th. The event is open to all.

Here is the basic format:

Four run groups from beginner to expert
Beginner/novice groups use point by passing in designated areas
Advanced is point by anywhere
Expert is open passing (no point required)

Sessions are 20 minutes
Track goes hot at 8:00AM
Track closes at 4:30
Expect 6-7 sessions

Event is limited to 80 vehicles

Lunch is included as are water/Gatorade throughout the day

Cost is $275.

Registration is done on the 3ballsracing.com website.

It's a mid-week event, but what better way is there to spend a sick/vacation day? Many of us will be camping at the track (outside gate 1) the night before.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks
Ken ( bb69 here on the forum)

Default Different dates set for the 2019 Arthritis Classic Car Show

So now, it’s time to save the date for next year’s show! Mark your calendar for JUNE 27, 28, and 29, 2019! We are kicking things off with the Rolling Legends Tour followed by our all new Thursday night activity (it’s a surprise for now). Friday will be our Cruise-In, and Saturday will be the Classic Auto Show, a tradition in Dublin, OH.

We’ll be featuring Fiat (120th Anniversary (1899)), Fox Body Mustang (30th Anniversary (1989)), Miata (30th Anniversary (1989)), and Trucks and SUVS!

Default SW Ohio Fall Colors Road Tour

You will want to attend the 2018 edition of this event.

Jeff Bernhardt does an excellent job at this, well organized and a lot of fun.

Oct. 21 Sunday
Drivers meeting 1pm
Scenic drive starts 2pm

Best to arrive IMO no later than noon. Like last year there will be multiple food trucks on site.

Location:
Restoration Station
250 Hiawatha Trail

easy to remember using the 3-2-1 rule:

3rd Sunday of October
2pm - Road tour rolls
1pm- Drivers meeting

for past videos, do a Youtube search for "Corvette Restoration Station Fall"

For those in Cincinnati or the area Fuel Coffee on Riverside Drive still has their weekly cars and coffee no matter the weather. It’s worth a stop out even with the daily driver. There tends to be a decent turnout on the dry sunny days as well. It’s every Saturday from 8-12.

Starting to fill in the Ohio Events Calendar for 2019. Anyone wishing to promote a car show, cruise in or GTG, especially for corvettes, post here and I will add it to the calendar on the first post. Thanks.
