Made my own coffee this morning and got it in a to go cup, but I won't be pulling out of the garage today. But should I at least fire her up and listen to her for a bit? Tempting.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Well, I once again had other obligations to take care of this morning, but I had some great help this afternoon cleaning the Sweet Silver Corvette.
Did anyone take pictures today that you would be willing to post? I bet it was a great turn out.

Started her the other day, a lot of white smoke and it really ran ruff. Some leaking of gas. The carb maybe in need of a rebuild. Not really sure. jdk971 stopping by Monday to check her out for me.

It was rather concerning when it happen. A lot of white smoke, enough to fill the garage. It stopped after 2 minuets, but continued to run rough. My neighbor stopped by this after noon, he works on his mopars. She ran rather well, a little rich on the passenger side.. He thinks the carb needs to be rebuilt, perhaps a tuneup as well.. Another CF member is stopping by Monday to help out. Thanks for your offer, lets see happens.

Really surprised how big C & C is in Columbus; never really got that big in Cleveland.
I see the other Columbus C & C starts up this weekend. Two to choose from down there.

The “other” cars and coffee is a for profit deal, and they typically don’t care for low life corvette owners

Still, pretty impressive Columbus can support 2 such large regular events. Lived/went to school in Columbus in the late 1980's and don't remember much of a car culture at that time.
Pretty cool.

Interesting, went to the other one 2 or 3 times last year and noticed a preponderance of 'exotics', a few ZR1's a few other Vettes but definately mostly foreign.

cars and coffee in Columbus got started when 1 guy
moved back to cbus after living in Florida
He has supported, nurtured and worked his tail
off to make sure we have a nice clean safe

i was planning on taking the z to the other cars and coffee as well as the guy who purchased my grand sport. I really do not care if it does not get attention. I was curious as to your comment about for profit. Do they charge for attending? Just curious as as I would like to see some of the foreign stuff but not interested in paying to park and look😎

Even if you wanted to pay - if Paul did not think your car fit in to what he was gunning for he would ask you to leave.
I figure its his show and that's fine if he wants to run it that way, just not my thing.
While your out run down to toy barn - they have a great selection in currently - They have really cranked it up a notch

Thanks for the response. I believe the one this Saturday is at the park across the street from Byers. I figured as I am Jefferson Township, it is not that far to go check it out.
As as an FYI, the guy who bought my Grand Sport just got the car back from Livernois. Thing sounds amazing. I believe it put down 495 to the wheels. Heads, cam, LT, intake, and Corsa.

I'm totally ignorant (or I haven't paid attention enough) - which is which?
In other words, which is the "other" event that charges you to participate (if your car is deemed "worthy"), and which is the "regular" one in which anyone can participate?

Rick - I can't say for this year, I know in the past Paul would charge to park within the cars and coffee, if you parked someplace else and walked In you could look around no charge.
Even if you wanted to pay - if Paul did not think your car fit in to what he was gunning for he would ask you to leave.

While I've only been to one in a car other than 'basic' transportation (The Arena District Meet last August: http://www.columbuscarsandcoffee.com...chives/08-2018) nobody approached me about charging for it when we were in the 2004 Corvette. Was a torrential downpour the whole time and thusly pretty sparsely attended so maybe stricter if they woulda had a real turnout before they called it a morning. Despite the monsoon, was fun to see a few of the braver guys tooling though massive rains and puddles in Porsches, Lambo's and Ferrari's. Didn't really feel looked down on despite older car, the people who did brave the rain seemed pretty cool; what the heck, got a free Nationwide YETI cup so I was happy (doesn't take much).
Might head down to the one on 04/27/2019 at Esoteric; they might do 'pre-registration' or just go with first-come-first-in or something as space is so limited in the parking lot but never heard about them charging $$ or hand-picking cars. Saw some base WRX's in the lot last year. For those not in the lot, the entire 'light industrial park' area where Esoteric is located is packed with all sorts of cars so it becomes kinda an 'area car show' with cars of all types everywhere.
They also do one of their weekends at Rally for the Ranch in Easton and that does require pre-registration and vetting of vehicles from what I understand.
I think this is the other one ( http://columbuscarsandcoffee.net/ ) that is more 'user friendly' as mentioned above.
