A 23-year-old New Hope man has been identified as the victim of an Aug. 1 fatal car accident in Eden Prairie.

According to a news release from the Hennepin County medical examiner, Kyle Boline died shortly before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday after he was involved in motor vehicle crash.

According to the Eden Prairie Police Department, a speeding Corvette left the road and crashed into a pair of utility poles near Eden Prairie Road and Kurtz Lane around 8 p.m. Wednesday. A preliminary investigation has identified excessive speed as a factor in the crash.

The car's two male occupants were ejected, according to Eden Prairie police. The second male's identity and condition have not been released.

Boline's death has been categorized as an accident and remains under investigation by the Eden Prairie Police Department.
