This Thursday May 19, 2016 in Frankfort Illinois is “Chrysler, Dodges and Vipers” theme for their Cruise Night, in case you are interested Mopar Jimmy. This is where I usually go on Thursdays.
This is from a post on a Challenger website:” Reminder -- this upcoming Thursday, May 19th, is Mopar night at the Frankfort Cruise Nights in Downtown Frankfort, IL. Last Thursday, May 12, was the first Frankfort Cruise Night of the season and was heavily attended. Certainly would have liked to see a few more Challengers in the mix, my poor 2015 felt kind of lonely out there.
The village of Frankfort and the Frankfort Car Club have done a great job of making this weekly event very family friendly, pets included. The official start time is 6pm, but some enthusiasts begin showing up hours earlier. Attendee ages range from toddlers to octogenarians (many of them have the most expensive rides!).
Have fun -- Drive on!”
Do you still have your Challenger?

This week has been... acceptable. I've had the C7 a month now, 2300 miles already (granted 600 of those were driving back from BG but still).
My goal is to put on 10k before fall.

Yes, I am still daily driving my 2008 Hemi Challenger SRT8 as my daily driver going on 5.5 years now, its been a great car (but my 600 HP 2009 Viper coupe is much funner to drive)!

Will they allow me to bring my 1000 HP 1967 Camaro there?
Honestly, does anybody know if non mopars are allowed ? b/c I def. prefer to bring out my old school Detroit muscle to car shows.

Bring the 1967 Camaro. I would bring my 1990 Corvette in the past and everybody was very cool. I got to see several Hellcats up close and personal.
Have fun at the Cubs game.

game. Go Cubs!
Is the Mopar event a car show or just a bunch of folks bringing their Mopars and hanging out at the Portillos for lunch, etc?

The Mopar event is more of forum event like the Saturday lunch events except they go to Portillos.
It was just a guess on my part. The Cubs are a hot ticket right now and I knew they had another game in Milwaukee today. I was watching WGN I thought the game would never end

From what I can tell its just a bunch of people bringing their Mopar's and hanging out, now official car show or anything ,as Yukon mentioned its more of just a casual event like our Vette lunches

Jimmy, I was thinking you would want to bring the Viper, but heck I am sure nobody is going to have an issue with you bringing your Camaro I will be at the Vette lunch first in Crest Hill , Matt's new place from 11:30-1 pm ..then going to head to Portillos, hope to get there about 2pm or 2:30

This early June weather has been incredible and took advantage of it the last 2 nights at 2 killer cruise nights in Westmont and Downers Grove!
Yukon (Don) Corleon (Bill), it was nice meeting you tonight my friend at the Downers Grove cruise night that was packed with thousands of people walking through and always awesome hundreds of muscle cars, hot rods and other cools cars, with this PERFECT weather on Friday June 3rd.
Summer is hear guys, Gentleman start your engines!

Frankfort was great Thursday and Downers Grove was great Friday
It was great to meet Mopar Jimmy in person and reconnect with old friends and made a few new ones. I was standing by my Corvette and lot of people checking it out and liking it. Hey I even went back to the future and got a ride in Hugo's Delorean
I too have been taking advantage of the great weather and driving my Corvette all over the place as much as possible
