This will eventually be a long post, but for now here is a listing of the car related events, that I know of at this time, happening in Missouri for 2017. I will add events as they become known and will put the events in red as they are held. If anyone has events to add to the list, please PM or e-mail me with the details and I will modify this thread. March 25. Carthage, MO: Third Annual World Down Syndrome Day Car Show, to be held at 1726 Old Route 66 (West Oak Street, Carthage Municipal Park). Event times are noon - 4 pm. April 1. Columbia, MO: 23rd Annual Mid-Missouri Corvette Club Corvette Cup, sponsored by the Mid-Missouri Corvette Club. Held at the Stoney Creek Inn, 2601 S. Providence Road. Pre-registration is $50, after 3/21/17 cost is $60. Pre-registration includes Saturday awards banquet for one, T-shirt and special pre-registration gift. Nine classes with 1st through 3rd place in each class, except Class 1 (1953-1967) where there is only a first place award. April 22. Owensville, MO: GTA Springfest Antique and Classic Car Show, to be held on Main Street. Registration is 8 am - noon, judging at 10:30 am and awards presentation is 3 pm to 3:30 pm (or when judging is complete). Appearance judging only. Entry fee day of show is $15, display only is $10. This is a rain or shine event. Corvette has two classes: Corvette 1953-1967 stock and Corvette 1968-2006 stock. If your car is modified, it may fall into the Custom Cars 1949-2006 class. May 6. Fredericktown, MO: 55th Annual Azalea Festival Car Show. To be held at the Court House Square in Fredericktown. Rain date will be May 7th at the Hardee's. Registration is 9 am - 12 pm and judging is 12 pm - 2:30 pm with awards at 3 pm. Entry fee is $20. 28 classes with 3 trophies per class along with special awards. May 12-13. Jefferson City, MO: 5th Annual Capital City Corvette Classic. To be held on the south side of the Capitol, 201 W. Capitol Avenue. Early registration until May 5th is $15 (cash or check only) and after May 5th, entry fee is $20. Non-judged (display only and ineligible for trophy/awards) fee is $10. Pre-registration on line with credit/debit card is $20. Events are as follows: Friday, 5/12 - registration from 3-4 m, late afternoon road trip (4-7 pm, route to be determined) and meet and greet dinner (7-9 pm, location to be determined). Saturday, 5/13 - registration from 9 am - 12 pm, enter from West Main Street and enter south circular drive of the Capitol. Show is from noon - 4 pm, with participant judging beginning at noon. Classes will be C1 - C7 (2 divisions per class - coupe and convertible, except for the C1 class, where a hard top cover will still be considered a convertible). Hannibal, MO: 22nd Annual Loafers Car Show, located in downtown Hannibal on all of North Main Street. 31 judged classes (street rods, street machines, trucks, Corvettes, Mustangs, classics, Pro Street, Rat Rods, Imports and many more). Three trophies per class and eight special awards plus door prizes. Pre-register deadline is 4/28/17. Day of show register 8 am to noon. Show space limited to 300 entries. May 20. Springfield, MO: 2nd Annual Car Show on C Street for the Kilties. This is a fundraiser for the Central High School Kiltie Drum and Bugle Corps. May 20. St. Charles, MO: KlasAct Corvette Club Annual All Vehicle Car Show. To be held at Pur Performance, 3725 Harry S. Truman Boulevard. Top 100 awards and 8 Specialty awards. May 20. St. Peters, MO: Route 66 Corvette Club Corvette Show - Salute to the Troops. Proceeds benefit the USO of Missouri. Registration fee is $25. Show location is Hobos at the American Legion, 200 Main Street. Registration is 11 am to 1 pm with judging from 1 pm to 3 pm. Awards ceremony at 3:30 pm. Judged event by Rt 66 Corvette Club. June 24-25. Waynesville, MO: 30th Annual Route 66 Festival and Car Show, sponsored by the Cave State Cruisers Car Club. Held at the Waynesville City Park (downtown Waynesville on Old Route 66/Business Route 44). 25 classes ranging from horseless carriages to modern super cars to classic commercial vehicles to rat rods and everything in between, with three Best of Class awards per class, plus special awards. $20 registration fee covers both days. Drive through judging on a 100 point scale runs 8 am - 4 pm on Saturday and 8 am - 11 am on Sunday. Awards ceremony is at 1 pm on Sunday. March 25. Jefferson City, MO: Super Cruise for MDA, Capital Mall parking lot next to Sears. Cruise starts at 4:00 pm and runs until 8:00 pm.
March 25. Linn, MO: Cruise-In and Dyno Day, to be held at the State Technical College. Event times are 8 am - 4 pm. Attendance is free, and fee for a dyno test is $40 for students/alumni and $60 for the general public. State Tech campus dyno has a maximum 1000 hp for the dyno run, and vehicle must have DOT approved tires, no wrinkle wall tires, and vehicles will be inspected for safety. TrackLab dyno has a maximum of 2500 hp/3000 lb/ft of torque.
