Johnfather, although its been 2 super easy winters in a row in Chi-Town and I just HATE Illinois with a passion, and if it was not for career and family I would be so far out of here it would make one's head spin. Probably would be in Florida or one of the other southern states like the Carolinas.

But, the good new is:

Just 17 Days now and counting down until April 1st and only 5 days to the first day of Calendar Spring, March 20th, when most my toys should be out on a full time basis (by Calendar Spring); but probably way sooner than that, as mild as this winter that we are having has been!

I hate winter, but I hate giant insects, reptiles, and 100 degree days more.

I could never go further south than a place that has a winter long enough to at least KILL everything once a year (like wasp nests n such). So that's maybe Kentucky or Tennessee.

I went south a long time ago

just outside of St. Louis

My kids are up north in Chi-town

That makes seeing the grandkids difficult

Always interesting to hear about people in different periods of their lives. My 26 year old just bought her own place. 18 year old is a freshman at UK.

I can't wait til they are gone as so are we... My wife says, that's what they make planes for!

^^^^^^^^^^^^Sounds great Jeff, how exciting is that that you will be getting out of this POS State in the near future, I'm jealous!

Did a lot of highway driving today in my winter beater on side streets and Highways going from Elmhurst to Evanston to visit my dad, and was PLEASANTLY surprised that I really did not see any salt and the rain we got and melting snow and moist pavement seems to have done a much better job than I would have thought.

SO, the beater has been swapped out for 5.0 Mustang GT for the weekend as the forecast looks incredible and by Calendar Spring (Monday March 20th) I expect the Viper Venom Snake should be out on a full time basis and April 1st (out comes the bad boy 565 c.i. 1967 Camaro, to celebrate the start of the new car season and the 50 Year Anniversary (1967 to 2017 of Camaro) of a true American Icon.

Just 15 Days now and counting down until April 1st and only 3 days to the first day of Calendar Spring, March 20th, when most my toys should be out on a full time basis (by Calendar Spring); but probably way sooner than that, as mild as this winter that we are having has been!

Default Just 2 days now until Spring!!

Blasted out to Gat Guns in East Dundee, IL, in my 5.0 Mustang GT for the huge dealer factory shoot weekend there. Roads were all dry and clean considering the ton of salt that was thrown done just Tuesday with what I predict will be the last snow we see this season.

At Gats if you are in the market for an AR 15 this weekend only they have a huge sale and our selling the Ruger AR .556 for only $480, normally its $649, so that is a SMOKING deal on a very decent entry level AR 15. Bob (Quicksilver) if you are in the market for an AR 15 that deal has your name on it. Heck, at that price point I was very tempted to pick up another AR as a backup to my Colt M4.

Just 14 Days now and counting down until April 1st and only 2 days to the first day of Calendar Spring, March 20th, when most my toys should be out on a full time basis (by Calendar Spring); but probably way sooner than that, as mild as this winter that we are having has been!

Took the Corvette shopping today. It was good to drive it for 10 miles or so!

Friday it looks to be nice all day, I'll probably take it to work!

Had the Mustang GT out all day and went skeet shooting this afternoon at Medinah Country Club (skeet shooting is very fun but very, very challenging also).

My wife and I were out today and I was pointing out the piles of salt still on the roads. Hopefully, it'll all be washed away in a week or so.

Steve, your only out 10 days now until the roads will all be nice and clean to meet your standards, as there are just 10 Days now until April 1st, when ALL the toys will be out on a full time basis!

Yes, I suffer just slightly from OCD. I'll be out of town for several days and hopefully when I get back the roads will be salt free.

Rain coming this weekend should be just what you ordered! Out by my me roads are totally clean so the rain will mess me up from having fun with my Viper this weekend, as I am OCD about rain b/c I'm too lazy to want to wash the cars more than I have to, and a filthy show and go car (from rain) is something I can't tolerate either!

Spring has DEFINITELY sprung today going to be around 75 degrees and sunny!

Just 9 Days now until April 1st, when all the toys will be out on a full time basis!
