Best time of the year the beginning of summer, let the car shows begin!
Definitely my favorite time of the year the very beginning of summer! Hanging with my beloved 1967 Camaro SS at the first Village of Westmont Cool Car Cruise Night of the year. She looks her best under the lights at night. Anyone into cool car cruise nights in the western suburbs of Chicago this is a great show with live music, food, beer, like a summer street fest, every Thursday night on Cass Ave., in the Village of Westmont (June through August). They block off about 5 city blocks for this event and get about 300 to 400 cars and tons of people walking around. Not a lot of activity going on in my pictures as its the very end of the night after most folks and cars had cleared out.
It was really good. I got there a little after 6 and ended up parking at the far north end. I have been going to Frankfort the previous three Thursdays and it had not been very good. The problem is that they changed the rules in Frankfort and it is dead there on Thursdays. If you are in the area Westmont is the place to go on Thursdays

Hey, that bad azz burgundy 1967 Camaro SS with it hood open certainly looks familiar to me. As long as you get there early enough to get a good parking Downers Grove on Friday Nights is the best Village/City cruise night in the entire area and has by far the hottest woman walking around.

It was really nice Friday and lots of great cars too I just did not get pictures of all of them. Jim it was good to talk to you in person. I hope we get to see the rest of you in Downers Grove sometime this year a few times too

This is 100% true I get my best work done and I am my most productive with work at cruise nights, relaxed, and hanging with and displaying my car, but I ALWAYS have time to put the laptop and work aside to bull chit for a short while with a good friend that I may run into at any given cruise night or car show. You know that Bob, just think when I ran into you at the Medina Shriner show last September.
