Katech is hiring - vehicle technician
Car Shop Technician
Katech Inc - Clinton Township, MI 48035
Familiarity with late model GM vehicles; Corvette, Camaro, CTS-V & Truck platforms
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, cooling & oiling systems are a must
Familiarity with air flow, head/cam jobs, suspension, aero, welding, fab & calibration will also go a long way
Must have own tools
Some root cause analysis and diagnosis experience necessary
Ability to clean all components at disassembly while looking for quality critical features and their preservation
Familiarity with documentation and build book preparation & follow through
Ability to prep all new and used components for usability analysis
Basic knowledge of specifications and tolerances
Capability to recognize questionable components for technician approval
Ability to utilize all gauges, micrometers, torque wrenches and vehicle specific tools
Communication is critical. Must be able to communicate with all levels inside the organization. This includes technical and non technical items
