Race lasts for 2 hours 45 mins. No caravan home, everyone leaves at different times.

Only a few days left to save on you tickets. $50 now $70 after July 25th. You can order on line and pick them up at the gate. The Corvette Corral has free breakfast also. Turn 14 hospitality tent is new. It should be a great place to watch the race. Your cars are safe anywhere on the track. I usually go to the Corvette Corral early in the morning for some handouts then drive to turn 5. The corral is one of the worst spots to actually watch the race. BMW has a corral also on the outside of turn 5 which is a great place to watch the race and is a short walk to the pits. I do not believe they are doing parade laps with the Corvettes this year I will try and confirm

I plan to purchase my ticket tomorrow. I hope one of you nice young men will be there to help me get my walker out of the car.

I just spoke to the president of the Corvette Club, they are doing the parade laps on Sunday. However the sign up for the event is Saturday only. They made an exception for me last year since I know the president of the club and gave her a firm count. AND we had to be at the drivers meeting at 8 AM sharp !

I just purchased tickets, proof for Forest Ranger Bob
. They have a small glitch in the system. If you buy your ticket by July 25th they are $50 each. After they are $70. When you by the ticket to print out it shows $70 each. which is face value. When they bil your card it will show $50. I called them on it and they said a lot of people are calling about this, BUT it isn't a problem????

I have a question regarding the parade laps!

The parade laps are the "hook" for me going. As Dan posted you have to be there Saturday to sign up.

In my world that would mean buying a ticket Saturday just to sign up for the Sunday parade laps??

Can anyone confirm this?!

Thank You!

There is another thread about the race and someone said they were able to just sign up Sunday. I don't know if that is because they didn't fill all the spots during Saturday sign up.
Did he get the last spot? Who knows. So I'm debating whether to go earlier than 7am in the hopes of getting in on the laps or going in the caravan. Sounds like a great caravan this year
but the laps are a total blast. Got to do 3 last year and RA is 4 miles around!

Per the President of the Corvette Club the sign up is Sat for the Sunday parade laps, they made an exception for us last year and allowed us to sign up Sun at 8 am. I had to give them everyone's name in advance to do so. They may have slots available if they don't fill it up with the Sat sign up. That's a risk you will have to take.

Being a RA rookie I have to ask the obvious to me anyway.

Who is this President of this unnamed Corvette club? Is there a way to contact el Presidente??

Go to there web site and there is contact info for her there under the membership tab. Google it. I am not going to post her info here
