I'm not looking forward to my tire bill come spring. The C7 is down to the wear bars...
But after that horrid November, December has been quite mild. Maybe the rest of the season can be like that? If so all the cars parked at my house might return to their homes sooner (I have a co-workers 2016 Mustang GT350R in my garage and my dads "new to him" 2012 S197 Mustang V6 Manual in the driveway). 3 battery tenders is oppressive on my electric bill...

Happy New Year to all.
I've finished restoring the 67's gauge and cluster and have started the re-installation.
I don't care how nasty it gets in January, I'll be spending the month in Napa Valley, CA.
But I'll be back just before Feb.
It's a cushy life but somebody has to do it.

I was coming back from Grayslake on Monday and saw a beautiful new Lamborghini on Butterfield Rd. Just prior to that I was thinking how the traffic in front of me was kicking up all kinds of salt dust, which reminded me of a gravel road. I can't bring myself to take my car out until we've had several heavy rains and all that crap is washed off the roads.

That is what I did with my first Vette and, as they say, I kept it perfect for the next owner. I won't drive if I can see actual salt pellets but the dust will get washed off in spring.

Snow storm or no snow storm, just 60 days now and counting until calendar Spring.
Calendar Spring was 112 days away when I started this thread so winter in more than 1/2 way over now.
