Stole another day away from a nasty February and old man winter today by taking the Porsche Turbo S out. As long as the roads stay this clean it will continue to stay out.

Just 20 days now until spring (its going to get here fast as stubborn as the weather is being).

No doubt John, no doubt. When you take her out probably next month around springtime take her very easy with those summer tires at that ZR1 is a beast and can get away from you real quick with cold roads and summer tires (but you know this my friend).

Had the Turbo S out the last 4 days even with summer tires on her, gotta love all wheel drive, let the dry weather continue baby! Here she is resting while I spent the last 2 days skeet shooting all day. Even when she needs a car wash she looks clean, gotta love silver!

Best news is that there are just 18 days now until calendar spring!

we nave a full week of single digit temps coming, ive driven the new ZR1 a total of 1 mile, im itching for a good day. The roads are so bad here in Illinois, its a joke, its like dodging potholes every couple hundred feet, you think they would of figured this out already, instead of paving every single year.

I feel your pain John but this too shall pass. You know me with the roads cold, as long as they are dry and fairly much salt free (like the past 6 days), my toys come out to play b/c life is just too short not to enjoy them every chance I get. I agree the roads absolutely suck right now so I really have to be on my game and tail end of winter always leaves a lot of little stones and rocks on the road too, so most guys are in your position won't drive their babies until things warm up and clean up some more. Despite the REAL cold temps tonight and tomorrow back in the 20s on Tuesday and dry, then back in the high 20s and 30s as the week goes on.

My '19 Z06 is sitting in the garage with 1 mile on the odometer. I don't ever remember seeing so many potholes. It's probably going to be the end of April before I take mine out unless we get some very heavy rains to wash the salt off the roads.

It's not been that nice in Michigan. I've been lucky to have it over freezing let alone over 40 degrees. I might, and this is a big might, get the Corvette out on the road next week when we supposedly will have some sustained temps in the 40's. That's likely to collapse though.

I am a bike commuter and do about 3K miles per year. Took a ride Friday and was going around a puddle and ended up in the puddle (slick mud at edge).
Came out soaked with mud dripping from my glasses. First skinned knee for me since the early 70's. Glad no one saw this sorry scene

Ouch! I feel your pain my friend.

Ton of new salting today with just a dusting of snow with the freezing temps last day, Ughh (what a stubborn start to March). First time I ever took out one of my babies out with a fresh salting (with otherwise dry roads by 11 am). Usually I won't ever do that on a fresh MAJOR salting, but the way I look at it, in the grand scheme of life, it really is not going to matter (subjecting my P car to all the fresh salt today), anytime in this lifetime or while I own my Turbo S, over the course of the next 5 years or so.

Much better news...........is that there are just 14 days now until Calendar Spring, although I will admit I think all of March is going to be a PAIN in the *** but nothing that us hardcore enthusiasts can't deal with!

Yes James, looks like the 1st year since I've become a Vette guy that it will almost be calendar spring before the weather gets decent. But it looks like by the weekend we'll finally get normal temperatures and some street cleaning rain.
I won't wait for perfect streets. Kept the 1st Vette perfect for the next owner, not doing that with this one.

I have noticed that the birds are singing in the morning when I go out to get the paper. They must know something we don't.
