Every winter gives me(us) time to install the parts we bought over the summer! This winter is the new Radiator/fan setup - Harmonic balancer replacement(wobble) - quantum brake cooling and lighter exhaust setup!

I still drive my car on select days in December-March when plowed and around neighborhood. I am planning on doing the Christmas carol drive in my neighborhood with my green/red LED’s lighting the way... lol

I still drive my Vette some days in December-February when the snow is plowed. I get the crazy

I love the UP. Have spent many of days up there hunting geese and grouse near Rice Lake/ Dreamland. Go Bucks

Having worked at a winter test facility in the UP, I've done the big powerful car on snow thing, you want a fun car in the snow get something along the lines of any of the OEM's AWD mid-size sport package offering with snow tires. That's your bang for the buck winter fun, leave the sports cars to the summer on sticky tires.

We send two weeks in September split between Traverse City MI in the lower peninsula and in a fishing cabin on an inland lake near Curtis, MI in the UP. Most of the time we are site seeing or just relaxing. It is truly God's country - but not sure I would want to spend a winter up there, heck it can be bad enough here in the Cleveland, OH area. In the UP they measure snow in feet, not inches - but if you are into winter sports, then its had to beat!

But if you want a beautiful place to drive through in the summer months, the UP has very few equals

Yes the rides are beautiful with breath taking view along the shores of the Great Lakes. But I think I will stick with my SUV for use in the UP due to the gravel roads and trails.

If a really want to enjoy a drive in my Corvette, I think I will stick a little closer to home;

Beautiful photo - but I'm glad I'm not that far north.

Broke down today. Pulled the cover back and saw that shiny Carbon Flash paint. Just had to climb in and hit the seat button. Felt like I was back home again. It had been 8 weeks since I put it away. Thinking maybe 14 weeks to go.

When it comes to salt, the biggest concern, especially with a low to the ground car like the Corvette, is not the body, or the frame, but the fasteners and suspension parts. Things like tie rods (and associated hardware) need to be coated or painted to keep them nice and new. Cars don't rust anymore, but parts do, usually not to failure, just to make them annoying to have to service...

They don't need to be garaged in the winter. Buy some winter tires and keep driving.

Best non-4wd car I've had in the snow.

What are your recommendations on winter tires (and wheels) for a C6 ZR1? Thanks in advance.
