We send two weeks in September split between Traverse City MI in the lower peninsula and in a fishing cabin on an inland lake near Curtis, MI in the UP. Most of the time we are site seeing or just relaxing. It is truly God's country - but not sure I would want to spend a winter up there, heck it can be bad enough here in the Cleveland, OH area. In the UP they measure snow in feet, not inches - but if you are into winter sports, then its had to beat!

If a really want to enjoy a drive in my Corvette, I think I will stick a little closer to home;

Safety Car
Broke down today. Pulled the cover back and saw that shiny Carbon Flash paint. Just had to climb in and hit the seat button. Felt like I was back home again. It had been 8 weeks since I put it away. Thinking maybe 14 weeks to go.

When it comes to salt, the biggest concern, especially with a low to the ground car like the Corvette, is not the body, or the frame, but the fasteners and suspension parts. Things like tie rods (and associated hardware) need to be coated or painted to keep them nice and new. Cars don't rust anymore, but parts do, usually not to failure, just to make them annoying to have to service...
