The feature has been disabled, sometime ago, due to overhead concerns with large forums.

I am noticing something new today, any idea what the "orange" envelopes mean or the lil arrows on the envelopes? TIA!

Yes, they've been re-enabled and will probably be monitored.

indicates a thread that you participated in with new posts

indicates a thread that you participated in but without any new posts since your last visit.

Threads with 500 or more views, or 50 or more replies, are considered as "Hot" and will thus have an orange envelope rather than blue.
