The CF network guys are screwing around with addressing. I have been unable to reach the Forums for the past day on any Browser. I finally Googled the main site and it works except for the Forums. Then I found some direct Forum links and now I can open the Forum. I copied these links and updated my bookmarks.
I've tried the cookie reset, DNS reset, nothing. Several others with different IPS have the same problem. The problem lies with the CF server. I wish they would fix it instead of blaming others.

I'll pass your advice along to the tech team, but if the issue was with the CF servers everybody would be experiencing access issues. It appears you use Comcast as your ISP. Me, too. None of us who are Comcast users were able to access the site a week ago. I couldn't get on for more than 24 hours until I followed the advice posted in this and other threads recommending I change my DNS.
When I did that, I regained access to the site. The tech folks advised several days ago that Comcast would eventually start redirecting its customers to the Corvetteforum and many people said that ended up being the case for them.
If you still are not able to access the site through Comcast after changing your DNS, clearing your cache and deleting your cookies, I'm not sure what to tell you other than to try and repeat that process because maybe something went wrong when you took those steps and the changes didn't take place.
Only problem I've had is the forum has been a little slower than usual for the last couple of weeks, but nothing else. I am using FireFox 22.0. I do not have Comcast.
I have *** cable & yesterday afternoon it was fine then from the eve on I couldn't access the forums. Tried clearing everything & still no joy.
Tried this am still no good, then 5 min later magically it starts working again.
To add to what Jim (Savewave) stated, there was some rather large, non-legitimate, traffic to the network. CF made some changes to help get the website accessible again to legitimate traffic. Those changes caused DNS issues for some using a DNS server that didn't have the updated IP address. Comcast customers in particular had this issue and was resolved by changing to an alternate DNS server - such as Google or OpenDNS.
There shouldn't be DNS issues at this time, but I suspect there may still be some issues with the network that may be likely from continued flood of non-legitimate traffic aimed at disrupting the site.

I sicked my company IT guys on the problem and they stated "there was just flat out to much streaming video and adds on the pages you first get before logging in".
Yes I use the forum at work!
Sounds like someone is getting greedy selling add space????????
I use Comcrap for my ISP and I Still see occasional problems with pages loading slowly or not at all.
Right now while replying to this, the page load but I still see "Waiting for" various ad sites or some sort of server. As I type this, I 'm seeing "Waiting for images.corvetteforum.com"
Many times when I click on a thread to open it, I get a blank page that sits there and I see "Waiting for forums.corvetteforum.com" The only way to get the page to load is to back out with the back arrow and try again. In nearly every case, the page will then immediately load. But I still see different "Waiting for..." text lines.
I use an ad blocker so I don't see the ads, but there has to be something wrong on the CF end. I have cleared the cache, cleared cookies and it still happens.
One thing I had questioned about the ads is whether or not IB/CF does any testing of the ads prior to uploading. There have been complaints by members of ads blocking pages, and interfering with the ability to use the site features. Maybe if IB did some testing, many of these problems could be resolved. Maybe it might be a matter of requiring ads to meet certain criteria in terms of pixel size and/or file size.
So far, I have taken a good 10 minutes to type this reply, go get another cup of coffee, and the "Waiting for images.corvetteforum.com..." is still there.
Slow for me today through Comcast. IB tech team as been advised.
Same here. Slow and just recently, I could not get on for about 30 minutes.
Last week when troubles started, I switched to a OpenDNS area address and that solved the problem up until today.
During the 30 minutes I couldn't get on, I switched back to my original DNS, then google's. Nothing. I switched to an OpenDNS address and now I'm back on.
