I found the perfect fix for all these problems with this website ...
I now use my Dell desktop computer running Windows 7 and have Chrome as my browser when using the internet such as the Corvette Forum .... and I use a cellphone for making phone calls.
Problem solved !

On top of that ... It's so much easier on the eyes viewing the Corvette Forum on a nice big flatscreen than trying to read posts on an itty-bitty smartphone screen.

Extremely annoying on iOS devices. The only browser to completely squelch it has been the AdBlock Plus one..Chrome becomes unusable when it occurs, and with Firefox you can at least close the tab, but still a royal PITA.

IB isn't being dishonest. They use an 3rd party advertisement service that displays ads in the mobile version of the site. The content of those ads can contain code which is causing these popups. If they can identify which ads contain the malicious code, they could remove them. That's why they were asking for screenshots. Clearly, manually removing ads like this is NOT a long term fix. New malicious ads will just pop up from time to time. IB should change the ad service or remove it until they can find a permanent solution to this.
From my experience working in the industry, it doesn't really matter if there are 20 or even 100 people inconvenienced by this. It doesn't impact traffic stats (which sponsors care about) or ad revenue (very low click rate in the first place). They'll fix it when they fix it.

Amazon pop ups still happening. Guess I won’t be uploading any pics from the Detroit Auto show this weekend. This used to be a leading site. Guess there are not enough users any longer to afford a platform that doesn’t allow in malicious advertising.

Norton Ad Blocker for IOS
After being completely frustrated, as most of you are, I found Norton Ad blocker on the App Store and have not seen the Amazon ‘winner’ message since. Hoping it works for the rest of affected!
