That is not true. You probably visit C5 General frequently and that's why it seems so. There is more than one bad apple in the ad system. Any section that pulls from the same ad source (probably ALL of them do) can randomly select one of the bad ads.

Have been getting it for quite a while on this and other automotive forums. In every case the offender’s domain is either a .top or .club site.

C2 of Year Finalist (performance mods) 2019
I have been having the problem on my iPad. I saw were someone said turn off Java Script. I did and no more blockers but when I was looking at my newspaper I had lost the pictures. I turned JavaScript back on. The newspaper pictures returned to normal. Now the good news, I have not had a Amazon pop up since JavaScript has been back on.
Go to Safari, go down to advanced, click on advanced and turn JavaScript off. Leave off for a couple of days and then turn it back on. This worked for me.

Not everyone uses Safari on iOS. I use Chrome on every device I own, regardless of OS. Unfortunately now.. for one site.. I have to use a different browser because the bean counters here need to keep using the same broken ads. It's malware and it blows my mind an internet company would allow it to continue.

Steps and efforts have been made and the fact that this thread, and the other thread, have become much less active would appear to confirm that.

Also, just because some other browser (or OS) makes your job easier, doesn't mean it's the _other_ browser's fault for executing valid code your service is providing.
This is not true and has been noted many times. Internet Brands is not "allowing" it. The advertising team and tech team have made numerous attempts at fixing an issue that is much larger than CorvetteForum. For all those who say it's only CorvetteForum, which is so easy to say with disregard to fact, it has been proven through articles (even supplied by big boys like Google) that this is a growing issue online and not just CorvetteForum.

There is no difference between IB Advertising and IB Tech from a consumer's point of view. We have no visibility into related components of IB and we *shouldn't*. I work in enterprise software and I'm aware that IT doesn't get to do everything they want. I'm in a meeting right now having a very similar battle. The doors have to stay open, and IB Advertising is a part of that. My point is, as a consumer, we don't care where the struggle is. We just care that the IB sites we visit suffer from the same problem.
I can't tell you if you've resolved the problem, because I was forced to use a different browser, which I hate. I'll just come here less as a result. I'm just a drop in the bucket, I know.
Do you allow Javascript to be executed in the areas that display 3rd party content?

I understand some are frustrated but making false claims doesn't help. You mentioned the company "allow"s this which is not exactly true. They are not allowing it in the sense that they support and accept the behavior. As I work directly with Internet Brands, I can speak with some facts and insight. The point regarding both advertising and tech departments is because both departments have been working on the issue as an on-going effort collaboration. They have multiple parties working on the issue with different steps taken and, obviously, some of that has been successful. This is not an issue with one source nor is it involving pushing some simple radio button.
To make it clear, I'm not involved with advertising and this particular concern is not assigned to me. In other words, I'm not making my job any easier by pointing out the aforementioned facts when this particular concern isn't even assigned to me. When one prefers a certain browser and/or operating system they have to take the good with the bad. That Apple is so tight is both positive and negative. That's beyond agreement or disagreement when it's the fact.

We won't agree on that. The ads that are popping up are coming from loading your pages (I'm sure it happens on other sites too, but it's irrelevant to this discussion) in a web browser. As a consumer, I feel IB is responsible for the content they provide, and any malware that is distributed as a result of 3rd party integrations. If pornographic images started coming through your ad system, imagine how quickly IB would shut down the ads until they can find a way to prevent them from appearing.
Also, just because some other browser (or OS) makes your job easier, doesn't mean it's the _other_ browser's fault for executing valid code your service is providing.
What I said was accurate. I was referring to the one forum I visit frequently. I didn't say that only CorvetteForum suffers from the same problem. I think you're lumping me into the people who don't have even a basic understanding of how the modern web works.

I didn't make any false claims. IB (assuming that includes IT and advertising) allows it to happen. You could remove _all_ ads from that provider(s) and the problem goes away. You could detect OS/browser versions and remove ads only for iOS/chrome if you wanted to. But that's wasted development effort if IB thinks it's Apple's fault. Remember Flash? There were other factors that led to the demise of Flash, but Apple was the first giant to refuse it on their platform citing security issues.
With that being said, I mentioned "bean counters" because the impact of the current problem is smaller than the impact of removing all of the ads. I'm not faulting IB for making that choice. Iterative approaches to solving a problem are common in the industry. It's still irritated every time I have to use a crappy browser (Adblock) to visit CF. That's why I land back in this thread every so often.
Earlier in this thread, IB asked for screenshots so they could find bad ads and remove them. The problem is new ads will just replace them. Some good.. some bad.

The fact that Apple is so tight is both positive and negative and that's beyond agreement or disagreement when it's the fact. The fact is, Google is able to have more control with their Chrome browser on Android than iOS. This is a case where it's a negative when a method to help prevent a growing issue online can't be implemented because of the operating system's control. As you are an Apple customer, you have to accept the pros and cons that they offer.

So, no, IB doesn't "allow it" to happen in the sense of doing nothing and accepting the results. The time, effort, and removal of offending parties made to address this on-going issue clearly indicate otherwise. The decrease in activity on this subject, as well as the replies in these two main threads, also indicate that IB doesn't have the "allow" policy as suggested.
However, some will believe what they want regardless of facts and regardless of information from direct involvement or not.
I don't think that was actually stated. If that's the conclusion some reach based on some facts mentioned on each OS and browser having pros and cons, then that's on them.

Apparently, they have found a way around what ever the “fix” was. I will also say it is only on this site. There are four other sites I visit and one I moderate and they do not have this problem. When I started a thread on this yesterday, it was locked and I was told to post a screen shot. No link to the thread I should post my screen shot in or any other direction (thanks for nothing). For the record, as a moderator if I lock a thread I either provide a link to the appropriate thread or send a PM. Might help. Here’s a screen shot.

We can't monitor and update multiple threads covering the same topic. So we ask that the topic be confined to one thread for all.
The issue has been acknowledged by the parent company who owns CorvetteForum, who is working to identify and resolve the issue. The issue is not specific to CorvetteForum nor is it confined to other sites within the network under the parent company. There are millions of sites on the Internet and a Google search will show this does occur elsewhere.
