How do you define an "old thread"? My definition is simple - how long ago was it started.
Example, today on C5 General, i was shown threads started in 2009 - VIS CF Fuzion Hood Installed, 2011 - Bolt On HP Increases. Both brought back from the dead after many years of dormancy - and both now irrelevant.

The message forum is based on activity - last activity per thread. The UserCP settings, for thread display, is based on last activity. It is working as designed and functions how any other message forum that I'm aware of. There is no ability in the software to suppress threads solely based on start date while ignoring new content within said thread.
