I really enjoy this site with all the useful information as well as interacting with kind and knowledgeable people. Daily, I read comments and enjoy seeing all the photos. I have a 1966 Convertible Restomod and a 2016 Convertible. My first car was a 1961 Corvette and I've owned 14 vettes through the years. The constant popup adds etc are really a pain, often blocking the comments and specific information that one is trying to review.
I understand marketing as well as knowing there are specific operating costs however; the amount of popups are increasing daily and when you close out one, there are several more that appear in its place which becomes very distracting.
I've checked the membership levels and will consider a membership fee however; there is no clear stated information that states ALL popups are blocked at which different level of membership. I wonder if anyone else is tired of these constant interruptions that are similar to incessant marketing phone calls.
The Firefox browser has an effective option to block pop-ups. Go to "Settings". Look under "Privacy and Security" and scroll about 3/4 of the way down. You'll see the option to block pop-ups.

I never get pop ups. I use Chrome and have the all inclusive AVG internet security software on my machine. I'm sure there are some settings within Chrome that are helping block the pop ups.

True popup ads are not used on CorvetteForum. If you're seeing a true popup ad, then your machine may have malware. Only happens on CorvetteForum? That doesn't necessarily rule out malware.
There are ads that, when moused over, may expand as being "interacted" with.
Additionally, non-logged in members will see more ads. For best experience, please make sure you're logged in and stay logged in.
